They have a lot of festivals in Oxford. I was there earlier this year interviewing Ann Cleeves and Val McDermid at the Literary Festival and here I am again on July 11th. This time I’m being interviewed by Helen Pike, Master of Magdalen College School, for the Oxford Arts Festival.
Helen was a relaxed and insightful interviewer who has written fiction herself (as well as being a prize winning Head Teacher). Master is a strange title to give a woman but the school has been going since the fifteenth century, so why interfere with tradition?
It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
