Book Launch Party – 19.3.24

March 27, 2024

Whilst the publication date for ‘Death on the Thames’ is March 28th, the launch party was held the week before, at Great Scotland Yard in London SW1, once the HQ of the Met, now a lovely hotel.

Friends and family were there as always along with my publisher, Alex Clarke of Wildfire, my fabulous agent, Clare Alexander and two special guests who joined me and Alex in saying a few words.

Michelle Collins is the famous Eastenders actress who I’ve always envisaged playing the part of my detective, Louise Mangan. Her production company, ItWorx, has now bought the screen rights to all three Mangan novels, so who knows?

Richard Attlee has a mellifluous voice which he used to wonderful effect in the audio book of ‘One of Our Ministers is Missing’. I’m delighted that he’s now also done ‘Death on the Thames’. As well as playing Kenton in ‘The Archers’, Richard has the distinction of being Clem Attlee’s grandson!

Two of the BBCs greatest soap operas represented at the same event.

It was a terrific evening, worth writing a book for.
