Bournemouth

February 23, 2020

The Little Theatre in Bournemouth is very – well, little.

A snug space well away from the Winter Gardens and International Conference Centre it has housed amdram productions for many years and has a loyal and dedicated audience.

Bournemouth feels like a second home. I attended my first Union conference here in 1976 (which was also my first stay in a hotel) and many more Union and Labour Party conferences in the intervening years. My Union also bought a hotel in the town which for half the year was used as a training school for our Branch officials. I tutored on many a course here.

I always enjoy my visits to Bournemouth and this was no exception.
