Former Labour cabinet minister Alan Johnson presents a compelling portrait of one of the twentieth century’s most influential politicians. Serving as Prime Minister twice, Harold Wilson won four elections and shaped the modern UK through groundbreaking achievements, from legalising homosexuality to advancing women’s rights and creating the Open University. Johnson will explore Wilson’s legacy, his visionary ‘white heat’ of technology speech, and his indelible connection to the cultural upheavals of the 1960s, making this talk a must for political and historical enthusiasts alike.
