Essex Book Festival

June 20, 2024

The Essex Book Festival is in its 21st year and is, I think, unique for covering not just a town or city but an entire county.

Chelmsford is the county town and it was at its magnificent library that I appeared on Wednesday, June 19th. Here I am with Seona Ford who’s been a central figure in organising the festival since its inception. She also Chairs the Dorothy L. Sayers Society and is an authority on the great 1930s creator of the Lord Peter Wimsey detective stories.

A lovely evening in a magnificent library with an astute audience of Essex readers.
