Hexham

May 8, 2019

From Wrexham to Hexham. Such a shame there’s not a theatre in Wexham, Bucks that could have completed the journey!

Cognito was there with the books and this penultimate event at the Hexham Book Festival was very well attended.

My interviewer was Richard Moss, Political Editor for BBC North East who asked what I would do to resolve the current crisis in British politics. It reminded me of Somerset Maugham’s comment about there being three rules to writing fiction but nobody knew what they were.
Nobody, least of all me, is capable of answering that question although I’m pretty sure that, as Cameron’s referendum is the source of our dilemma, having another one is not the answer.
Richard was a calm and authoritative Chair and the audience questions were excellent. All round, a cracking event.
