Jane Streeter has run The Bookcase, an independent book seller on Main Street, Lowdham, for many years. She started the Lowdham Book Festival and is the dynamo that has maintained its success.
I’ve appeared here four times but my event on Friday was my first with a work of fiction. Lowdham is a beautiful part of Nottinghamshire and Friday was a perfect summer’s day. Around sixty people left their gardens to come and see me interviewed by the excellent Marcus Alton in the cool of St Mary’s Church.
This happy trio (Marcus, Jane and me) certainly enjoyed the occasion, as I hope, did our audience.
