Another day, another book signing – this time in the New Forest.

We set off from Banbury having spent the night in the Horse & Groom in the village of Milcombe. Carolyn and I agree that it’s one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed at. We’re already planning our return. We drive a few miles down the road to meet my daughter Emma and her partner Simon in Burford close to where they live.

After a coffee and a chat we set out on the two hour drive to the New Forest getting stuck behind a quartet of wild horses as we drive through the forest itself.

Forest Arts is a cosy venue with all 165 seats sold for my appearance on a wet and windy Sunday night.
