I did ‘Off the Shelf’ a few years ago at Sheffield Hallam. I returned on Friday, October 25th, this time to the other Sheffield University (the city has two of everything – football teams, universities).
Here I am in Firth House with my interviewer, Prof. Matt Flinders holding up the festival programme rather than the book I was there to talk about.

Harold Wilson attracted another full house of around 400 to the beautiful Firth House auditorium.
Matt was the perfect compare ensuring that we got through as many audience questions as possible although I probably let him down when he asked for a quick response to a question about the 1967 devaluation of sterling!
