I was last at the East Riding Theatre in Beverley for ‘an evening with’ event in February 2019. Back then my interviewer (and media agent), Andrew Wilson and I were at the start of a 52 date theatre tour promoting my music memoir ‘In My Life’.

On Friday, March 21st we were back in front of a full house to try out an update entitled ‘Harold Wilson, the Beatles and Me’. It focussed on the 1960s, a decade which Harold dominated politically as surely as the Fab Four were dominant musically. With readings, records, audience questions and Andrew’s carefully crafted jokes, it was great fun – for us and, I hope, our audience at this lovely gem of a theatre.
