Weatherby

October 12, 2019

I suppose the caption for this photo should be ‘Johnson & Johnson’ as I’m in the delightful company of Milly Johnson, a proper writer who has sold two million books around the world.

We’re both speakers at the Weatherby Literary Lunch which kicks of the literary festival (now into it’s 42nd year). Milly speaks after the main course whilst I strut my stuff following dessert. I intend to stay in touch with Milly. Her wit and warmth are very much part of her Barnsley heritage. We also have something in common besides our surname. Milly and I have both been on literary cruises with our partners and missed the boat (she in Malaga, me in Gothenburg). Milly wrote a book based on the experience.

As I say –  a proper writer.
