Harold Wilson was as much a part of the Sixties as the Beatles and the Profumo Scandal and one of the most successful Prime Ministers of recent years. He won four elections and oversaw sweeping reforms that improved many lives – including legalisation of homosexuality, protection for ethnic minorities, and improvements in womens’ rights. With Clare Clark, former Labour cabinet minister Alan Johnson discusses his new biography of a truly 20th Century man.
